The officer smelled marijuana from inside the vehicle. The driver said he had an empty baggie and eventually said there was a bag of marijuana in the trunk, according to the report. The officer found a mason jar containing 25 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, about 100 small plastic bags and two pill bottles in the trunk, the report said.
The man said he was holding the marijuana for a friend of his, the report said. He admitted that he and his friends — a 15-year-old girl from Garden City and a 15-year-old boy from Garden City — smoked marijuana earlier and that is why he had the empty bag, according to the report.Â
