Portion of Northville's Main Street to Close Thursday

Part of Main Street in downtown Northvile will be closed Thursday for brick crosswalk repairs and replacement.

According to a city of Northville email alert, Main will be closed from Wing to Hutton street.

"The brick that was installed as part of the Streetscape Enhancement Project failed and will be reinstalled at the contractors expense," according to the email from Craig Wobrock, the project's on-site inspector.

On Friday, Center Street will also be closed between Wing and Dunlap streets for similar repairs. 

The roads will be closed at 9 a.m. on the construction days and will reopen in time for rush hour traffic at the end of each day. All of the repairs will come to a close by Friday, according to the email.
