Sunday's 'Somewhere in Time' Takes Visitors Way Back
Games, cars, riverboat rides and other activities take guests back to the 1920s in Wayne County Parks, Trenton Parks and Recreation event.

Elizabeth Park will look like a scene from the 1920s Sunday during as Wayne County Parks and Trenton Parks return the “Somewhere in Time” event to the popular Trenton park.

With unique attractions such as riverboat rides, old-fashioned cars, musical entertainment and refreshments, this family-friendly event has drawn thousands of people to Elizabeth Park for the last 31 years.
The fun begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. and is free to the public. Elizabeth Park is located at 4461 Elizabeth Drive in Trenton.

Schedule of Events
Pony rides will be available throughout the event at the Elizabeth Park Pony Concession.
Sack Races and tug-of-war games will take place every half-hour in the Children’s Games area.
An old-fashioned horseshoe blind doubles tournament takes place at noon. Registration begins at 11 a.m. (Please bring your own horseshoes).
The Plymouth Red Rovers Historic Baseball team will play catch with kids in the Children’s Games area from noon-2 p.m.
Diamond Jack River Boat rides on the Diamond Bell are scheduled to depart every hour from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
The Sweet Adeline’s will be performing their brand of barbershop harmony from 2-3 p.m.
The Downriver Community Band will be performing from 3-5 p.m.
Children’s Entertainment Tent Performance Schedule
Doc Pawlaczyk Old-Time Medicine Show at noon, 1:45 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Guy Louis Chautauqua Express Musical Show at 12:45 p.m.
Joel Tracy Variety Show at 4 p.m.
While attendees can bring a picnic basket to enjoy an old-fashioned picnic in the park, they can also purchase Roundhouse BBQ, Trenton Ice Cream, and treats from a bake sale. Local crafters will also have artistry available for purchase.
