'Adopt' a Fire Hydrant, Novi Fire Dept. Says
Snow-covered fire hydrants pose a risk during an emergency.
The Novi Fire Department asks residents to avoid covering fire hydrants with snow and, if possible, to take the extra time to clear the snow around them.
This improves a firefighter's ability to quickly locate and access the hydrant in an emergency. See how to clear the snow in the image above.
