The most pressing issue today is the safe recovery from Covid-19. We must continue to follow public health directives, and the County government has a large role to play in getting resources to businesses, individuals, and organizations

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am the incumbent in the position, and have shown that I can lead on pertinent issues such as climate change and public health.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I spent 5 years on the Novi City Council, and now have 2 years as County Commissioner.

What steps should state government take to bolster economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic for local businesses?
Local Businesses may need low interest loans and grants to stay afloat. Until the virus is under control, the economy will continue to struggle.

How will you address the calls for racial justice and police reform?
I expect a collaborative process to proceed between the Executive, the Commission, and the Sheriff's Department toward many of the best practices and reforms necessary going forward.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:
I center my work around protection of the environment, public health and safety, and issues affecting women and children. I am supportive of efforts to bring public transit to the metropolitan Detroit region.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I believe the purpose of government is to serve the people with fairness, openness and transparency, and to support the general welfare of the entire community.
