Meet George Papadopoulos – The Other George Papadopoulos, That is

NOVI, MI – George Papadopoulos of Novi is not that George Papadopoulos, the one who's dominating headlines across the country today. This George Papadopoulos, who is getting a lot of social media attention by no fault of his own, is a financial planner in the suburbs of Detroit.

The other George Papadopoulos, as you likely know by now, is the former foreign policy adviser to President Trump who plead guilty to lying to FBI agents during their investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. He's the one who, along with President Trump's ex-campaign adviser Paul Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates — both charged with conspiring against the United States — is in a lot of hot water in Washington, D.C.

On Monday, George Papadopoulos of Novi tweeted, "I am NOT that guy! Visiting my mother in Greece now and can assure u I am getting so fat eating the dishes she makes me...so no wiggling :)"

The tweet was one of a number of posts Papadopoulos of Novi sent this morning, along with topics like Americans and their debt, investor psychology, and "Greek pensioners waiting inside to withdraw money."

"For the nth time, I am NOT Trump's foreign policy adviser! I have NO association with the Trump camp! NONE!" tweeted out George Papadopoulos of Novi.

Meantime, George Papadopoulos of Novi's Twitter followers were quick to offer him advice, mostly suggesting he make the most of his 15 minutes of fame.

"(Psssst I would change your bio if I were you - it might help. Maybe something like " THE OTHER George Papadopolous - never met Trump!" wrote one follower.

"America owes you a drink! This is the innocent one-enjoy the show & the jokes...they won't end...sorry. Maybe after impeachment."
