Novi Among the Top 3 Places to Live in Michigan, Report Shows
Novi's top-performing schools, plus its entertainment and shopping opportunities, are drawing more residents to the city.
For the last three years, Novi has become one of the most popular neighborhoods in Michigan, trailing Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor, according to data from Corrigan Moving Systems.
“This is a positive trend for Novi, and it’s not surprising when considering the different factors that make this a great community,” said David Corrigan, president and COO of the Farmington Hills- based company, the Observer & Eccentric reports.
Corrigan, an expert in moving trends, credits Novi’s population spurt to its robust housing market, well regarded school system and new construction.

Downtown shopping, dining and entertainment options have also lured more people to the area, Corrigan said.
The majority of folks moving to Novi are families, and the area has consistently grown over the last 50 years, according to the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.

Novi also has a diverse population of residents, with its percentage of minorities rising. More than half of Novi residents have bachelors degrees. The community also boasts one of the lowest crime rates in the Tri-County area.
On top of that, major companies – including ITC Transmission and Ryder – also call Novi home, and have attracted new talent to the community.
With almost 60,000 residents, Novi has had the second-largest increase of residents within a three-year time span.
