Novi Fire Department promotes captain, four lieutenants

From the City of Novi: Five Novi firefighters were promoted to new leadership positions within the Novi Fire Department at a ceremony Monday afternoon.

Lieutenant Joshua Bunse was promoted to captain, while firefighters Matt Tunnard, Maria Reisner, Mark Pehrson and Matt Blamy were promoted to paid-on-call lieutenants. The five were selected following a competitive promotional process.

"We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication that Joshua, Matt, Maria, Mark and Matt have exhibited and what they have accomplished so far in their careers," said Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police David E. Molloy. "The fire officers are crucial leadership positions on our Public Safety team and ensure that essential emergency medical and fire service is provided to everyone in Novi.”
