Novi Pastor Plans to Pack 2 Million Meals
The pastor and his congregation are doubling their efforts from 2011.

The Rev. Brad Powell, of Novi, is tackling a large task to feed the hungry with his congregation at NorthRidge Church.
In 2011, the church packed 1 million meals in three days with 5,000 volunteers.Â
"In February 2014, we want to show God’s love to twice as many people," reads the church's website.
The goal is to pack 2 million meals in three days with 10,000 volunteers. Volunteers will gather Feb. 14 to 16 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, 46100 Grand River Ave.
NorthRidge Church is partnering with Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit Christian organization based in Coon Rapids, Minn. The packing will take place in 11 two-hour shifts, with 900 people packing during each shift, The Detroit News reported.
The Suburban Collection Showplace is donating 65,000 square feet of space for the event, according to the article.Â
