Police Arrest South Lyon Man on Marijuana Possession Charges

Novi police arrested a South Lyon man around 9 p.m. Nov. 14 on charges of possessing marijuana, according to a police report.

The officer stopped the man as he was driving near Novi Road and Crescent Boulevard because his vehicle did not have a visible license plate, the report said.

The officer smelled marijuana while at the car and, while searching it, found a mason jar filled with 2.6 grams of marijuana, according to the report.

The officer arrested the man. He paid a $100 cash bond and has a hearing Nov. 25 at 52nd District Court, the report said.
