Pooch Park Coming to Novi
Novi and Northville dog owners will have access to a new dog park soon.
Using Northville’s two dog parks as blueprints, parks officials are set to open new dog park in Novi on Oct. 4. The project has been in the works for some time and officials are looking forward to its opening.
The park will be operated on a membership basis, and dog owners can begin purchasing them in September, the Observer & Eccentric reports.
Members will be issued a key to enter the park. Membership fees are $30 for residents and $60 for non-residents, in addition to a one-time key deposit fee of $20.

“The dog park is a very positive addition to the community,” said Jeffrey Muck, interim director of Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services. “It provides space for dogs to exercise and socialize safely, promotes responsible dog ownership, provides an outlet for dog owners to socialize and ultimately make for a better community by promoting public health and safety.”
