What are you doing to get your Novi home sold?

Selling your Novi home in the winter is going to be a little tougher. There are fewer home buyers out there braving the cold and the weather. So how do you make your home stand out from the crowd?

1.) Make it bright. Our Michigan winters are known for being dreary. Overcast and grey skies are the norm. So your home is not going to show well unless you help it. Turn on all the lights you can. Put in a little bigger bulbs if you can. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HAVE BURNT OUT BULBS OR DARK AREAS IN YOUR HOME. Bright, cheery homes sell.

2.) Keep it warm! Now is not the time to be frugal. If your Novi home has a chill to it then it is going to make the buyer think that the utility bills are high. So make it comfortable. The longer you can keep a buyer in your home the greater your chances of them liking it.

3.) Turn that fireplace on. Nothing like the ambiance of the flames flickering in the fireplace on a chilly winter day. It sets the stage. Have a throw over a chair or couch.

4.) Stage your home with a fresh bouquet of flowers in the kitchen or on the table.
