Who Spent What? Mayoral Candidates File Campaign Finance Reports

Novi candidates must file pre-election financial statements with the state.

The Nov. 5 election is nearly here and candidates' finance reports are in. 

Novi Mayor Bob Gatt and his opponents for the mayoral seat, Jason Dorsch and Joseph Samona, submitted information about their campaign funds with the Secretary of State office, according to Oakland County Clerk records.

The finance statements were due Oct. 25.

  • Samona's report does not include the total amount he has raised. It does include details on who has contributed what amount to his campaign.

Jason Dorsch
  • Dorsch reported that his campaign finances would not exceed $1,000, so he is exempt from requiring to file a finance report.
