Volleyball team bests Romeo in four sets to win Class A title

It wasn’t a surprise to most who follow high school volleyball, but that doesn’t dampen the thrill one bit.

The Novi High School girls volleyball team are Class A state champions, ousting Romeo in the final Nov. 21 at Kellogg Arena in Kalamazoo.

The squad entered the tournament as the team to beat, and they proved just why they earned that title, beating the Bulldogs 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 25-17 to earn the crown.

Paulina and Victoria Iacobelli paced the Wildcats in the championship match with 20 and 13 kills respectively.
