Novi Man Accused Of Strangling His Wife To Death
The 31-year-old man was arraigned on a murder charge Monday.

NOVI, MI – A Novi man was arraigned Monday afternoon on a charge of premeditated murder in the strangulation death of his wife. If convicted, Derrick Anthony Dixon, 31, could be sentenced to life in prison.
Police went to the couple's home in the Oakland Glens mobile home park on Thursday, Jan. 4, after receiving a request that officers check on her well-being. Officers entered the home and found Heather Alyce Dixon, 32, on the floor. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Dixon died of strangulation, according to the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office.

Dixon's husband was in the home when police arrived.
Dixon is due back in court on Jan. 17.
