Woman's Wedding Ring Stolen from Novi Mall

Novi police provided this information.

Someone stole a woman’s wedding ring between 1 a.m. Nov. 24 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 25 from the parking lot at Twelve Oaks Mall, according to a Novi police report.

Two rings were missing from the woman's car, according to the report: 

  • a white gold wedding ring with eight small diamonds valued at $1,700
  • a white gold engagement ring with a half-carat diamond surrounded by four smaller diamonds valued at $1,200

The woman said she parked in the Macy’s lot and took her rings off, placing them on the center console, while she put lotion on her hands, according to the report. The woman said she left the vehicle unlocked with the rings still inside, the report said.

After both rings were reported missing, an anonymous person turned one of them in to the mall on Nov. 25 after finding it in the Macy’s parking lot, according to the report.
