Big Used Book Sale Set for April 10

Saturday sale is daylong event

(Friends of RHPL)

The Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library will hold a special day-long used book sale Saturday, April 10.

Be aware that everything is by appointment only, due to pandemic limitations. The Saturday date gives book shoppers eight by-appointment-only time slot opportunities on a weekend day. The sales are on the second floor used book room of the library, at 500 Olde Towne Rd. Rochester MI, 48307.

Here are the rules for April 10: Only 10 customers in at one time for 45 minutes each. Besides wearing a mask, you will be asked to use hand sanitizer and/or gloves when you enter the room, and maintain social distance as much as possible. All of the books have been quarantined for a minimum of 3 days and most of them for much longer.

Since appointment times are reserved and there is no need to wait in line, please arrive only five minutes prior to your shopping session. There is no waiting area, and due to COVID restrictions, early arrival is not permitted. If you do arrive earlier, please browse the library stacks of circulating material up until your appointment time.

Starting at 9:30 a.m., we will have eight shifts. To register for the Saturday sale, go to the Rochester Hills Public Library website, www.rhpl.org. At the bottom of the page, under Connect, click on Visit the Friends of the RHPL. Then use the link to go to the Calendly website to register for a time slot. To make it worthwhile for our volunteers, we are asking you to spend a minimum of $10. This should not be difficult as the Friends have been flooded with donations and restock shelves daily with new material.
