Eminem Raps Caitlyn Jenner in Blistering Freestyle

It wasn't a transphobic jab, the rapper said, explaining he says, ahem, stuff "just to say it."

Metro Detroit rapper Eminem said he didn’t mean to make a transphobic slur against Caitlyn Jenner after a blistering, eight-minute freestyle rap on Thursday’s Sway in the Morning satellite radio program.

He used the kind of language parents shield their children from in his take on Jenner, who came out in April as transgender in a nationally televised interview with Diane Sawyer.

“No disrespect, though, not at all, no pun intended, that took a lot of balls,” he rapped at the conclusion of the bit on Jenner.

Later, Eminem apologized – sort of.

“I just say (expletive) to say it. It’s very rarely personal,” he said. “If it was personal, somebody would know. It’s all in fun.”

Also on Patch:

Jenner needn’t feel slighted. The rapper also let loose on 25 other celebrities and politicians, including Miley Cyrus, Hillary Clinton, Anthony Weiner, Donald Trump, Bill Cosby.

On comedian and actor Bill Cosby, under the cloud of sexual assault allegations,”I made monopoly off misogyny,” he rapped. “No wonder you scoff at me, it’s obvious I’m as off-putting as Bill Cosby is / Treat women like property, possessive like a noun with an apostrophe.”

You can hear the freestyle rap here, but be warned that it contains offensive language.

It isn’t the first time Eminem – in real life, Marshall Mathers, of Oakland Township – has come under fire for his lyrics. In a profile in 2000, The Guardian called him a “misogynist, homophobe (and) hero.” In 2014, his did a freestyle rap about punching Lana Del Ray and also threatened to rape Iggy Azalea.
