Oakland Township Clean & Green Scene Roadside Cleanup Event

Oakland Township's 42nd Annual Clean & Green Scene is happening this Saturday, and the township invites residents to come to Township Hall between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to help clean up the township's roads.

Volunteers can sign up for a road to clear, then receive orange plastic bags in which to collect the trash that has accumulated along the roads in the past year.

The bags can be left on the roadside or carried back to Township Hall, where a trash compactor truck will be parked from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The township is also asking for volunteers who have trucks and trailers to drive the Township roads to collect the filled trash bags along the roads.

Volunteers are also invited to enjoy refreshments at Township Hall during the event.
