Artist and craftsman Dave Hudson, of Ferndale, is taking inspiration from Michigan’s iconic soft drink brands by turning wooden Faygo pop and Vernor’s ginger ale crates into kitschy side tables, reports the Detroit Free Press.
Hudson is a 3D animator for Ford but enjoys making furniture from repurposed wood and metal in his spare time. He creates each piece using locally sourced materials including wood, metal, vintage beverage crates, windows, doors, and more, according to his website, www.hudsonindustrialfurnishings.com.

“It’s important to me that the customer is involved in each step of the way. I like them to be a part of the process so that we create a truly unique piece together,” Hudson said.
