Motown Madness Gymnastics Competition is This Weekend
"It's a great opportunity for gymnastic fans and aspiring gymnasts to see high level skills performed right in our community," meet director Maureen Muns of Lake Orion says; the statewide event will be held at Oakland University.
More than 800 young gymnasts from across Michigan, Ohio and Illinois will compete in Rochester this weekend in the annual Motown Madness event.
The competition starts Friday and ends Sunday at Oakland University's O'Rena; it is open to the public.
The Classic Booster Club of the Gymnastics Training Center in Rochester Hills is hosting the event, which is the largest in the history of the Motown Madness.

"It’s a great opportunity for gymnastic fans and aspiring gymnasts to see high level skills performed right in our community," said meet director Maureen Muns of Lake Orion. "Attendees will enjoy watching young gymnasts starting their competitive careers as well as talented young women hoping to secure college scholarships.”
