Oakland Township Voters Reject Blossom Ridge Ballot Measure
Voters overwhelmingly reject ballot measure.

Oakland Township voters on Tuesday rejected a ballot measure that would allow the rezoning of nearly 42 acres of property at the northwest corner of Adams and Dutton Roads for the Blossom Ridge Senior Housing development.
According to unofficial Oakland County election results, 72.53 percent of voters sided against the ballot measure. According to the results, just 823 voters were in favor of the measure, while 2,173 voted "no."
The measure, if it had been approved, would have permitted the rezoning of the area from the Medium Residential Density (MRD) zoning classification to the Residential Multiple-Family with Planned Rezoning Residential Overlay (R-M/PRRO) zoning classification.
