Romeo School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Romeo is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Romeo Community School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/29: Teacher PD (required)
• 8/30 - 8/31 Teacher PD (optional)

September

• 9/5: First Day of School, Elementary students Half Day
• 9/13: PLC Early Release
• 9/27: PLC Early Release

October

• 10/11: PLC Early Release
• 10/31: PLC Early Release

November

• 11/8: PLC Early Release
• 11/22 - 11/26: No School (Thanksgiving)
• 11/29: PLC Early Release

• 12/22: No School (Winter Recess Begins)

January

• 1/3: School Resumes
• 1/10: PLC Early Release
• 1/24: PLC Early Release
• 1/25: Secondary Students Half Day
• 1/26: Secondary Students Half Day

February

• 2/14: PLC Early Release
• 2/19: No School (Mid-Winter Recess)
• 2/28: PLC Early Release

March

• 3/14: PLC Early Release
• 3/16: Elementary Students Half Day
• 3/28: PLC Early Release
• 3/30: No School (Spring Recess Begins)

April

• 4/9: School Resumes
