Special Holiday Events to take place at Great Lakes Crossing
SEA LIFE Michigan and LEGOLAND Discovery Center holding Fishmas and Holiday Bricktacular Events

Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan, where children and their families are invited to experience special holiday events for “Fishmas” at SEA LIFE Michigan and “Holiday Bricktacular” at LEGOLAND Discovery Center through Sunday, Dec. 24.
Guests visiting SEA LIFE Michigan who bring in a canned or boxed food item to donate to the Orion/Oxford Fish will receive $7 off tickets through Sunday, Dec. 24. Guests visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan who bring in a new winter hat, scarf or pair of gloves to donate to the Baldwin Center in Pontiac will also receive $7 off tickets through Sunday, December 24.
“We’re spreading cheer at SEA LIFE Michigan and LEGOLAND Discovery Center and are working to create a special family experience in the holiday season and throughout the year,” said Hayley Anderson, general manager for LEGOLAND Discovery Center and SEA LIFE Michigan. “The attractions are decorated for the holidays and are the perfect places to spend some quality time together as a family and perhaps even start a new tradition.”

At SEA LIFE Michigan’s “Fishmas” celebration, guests will be submerged into an underwater wonderland with holiday lights, snowflakes, trees, and more throughout the aquarium. Children can participate in creating holiday cards for some of their favorite SEA LIFE creatures and deliver it to their stockings, as well as keeping a look out for “Merlin,” the Elf on a Shelf, who appears in a different location every day. Holiday story time will be happening twice daily, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Dec. 11-Dec.24. Visitors can also take a picture with Scuba Santa and watch him and his helper elf take a dive to feed special treats to all the fish that have been good this year. Santa dives will take place at 1 p.m. on Dec. 14, 16 and 21.
At LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan’s Holiday Bricktacular, the holiday fun continues. Children can play in a winter wonderland and take photos with the new LEGO® Santa on Dec. 16, 17, 21-24 at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Visitors can also participate in a Holiday Scavenger Hunt to find how many wreaths are in MINILAND and participate in a special build of a bright red holiday train in the Creative Workshop. Don’t forget to look for a special LEGO Elf on the Shelf!
