Woman Charged In 2 Oakland County Bank Robberies
The suspect has prior convictions for bank robbery and embezzlement.

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI – A Flint woman was arraigned on multiple robbery charges on Wednesday in connection with a holdup at a bank in Orion Township last week and another in Independence Township in November.
Davicia Swift, 40, was charged in Independence Township with two counts of armed robbery and a count of bank robbery during an appearance at the 52-2nd District Court. She also was charged with two counts of armed robbery and a count of bank robbery in Orion Township during an appearance at the 52-3rd District Court. Both court appearances were on Wednesday.
Police arrested her on Saturday, Jan. 13, shortly after the Huntington Bank at 4983 S. Baldwin Road in Orion Township was robbed. Oakland County deputies responded to the bank just after 10 a.m., and bank employees described a suspect and her vehicle, a black Saturn.

A deputy noticed the car headed north on Interstate 75 and the driver matched the suspect's description. Deputies stopped the car, which was driven by Swift. Deputies also found a black canvas bag, which contained the money from the bank, according to police.
All of the money taken during the Orion Township robbery was accounted for, deputies reported.

Swift also is suspected in a robbery of the Comerica Bank at 7565 Dixie Highway in Independence Township on Nov. 20. In that robbery, a suspect matching Swift's description walked into the bank, told everyone to put their hands up, and ordered tellers to fill a bag with cash.
The suspect escaped the Comerica Bank robbery in a dark-colored Saturn Vue, police said.
Swift previously has been convicted of bank robbery and embezzlement, police said.
