Plymouth Tops List of Best Suburbs for Young Professionals
Also on Movoto's list are several neighboring communities with growing populations of young people and amenities to entertain them.
Communities in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties figure prominently in a new listing by the real estate company Movoto of the best Detroit suburbs for young professionals.
Plymouth, in Wayne County, tops the list, with 14.4 percent of residents between the ages of 22-29. They have 1,807 amenities to entertain them and a variety of housing options, Movoto said. Home buyers will find everything from modern condos to classic craftsman and Colonial style homes.
Amenities include a weekly farmer’s market, Plymouth Riverside Park and Hilltop Golf Course. Plymouth also offers community events like Art in the Park and Taste of Plymouth.
