2 Break-Ins, Through Unlocked Sliding Glass Doors, Reported in Rochester Hills

The home invasions were reported over the weekend.

Police are investigating two break-ins Friday night in the Clear Creek subdivision in Rochester Hills.

In both instances, the intruder entered through unlocked sliding glass doors. 

At 9:39 p.m. Friday Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home invasion in the 900 block of Majestic Street in the subdivision, which is located north of Tienken Road and east of Sheldon Road. According to a report from the sheriff's office, the homeowner had arrived home to find the sliding glass door open; she heard noises coming form upstairs and left the house to wait outside. At the same time, the sheriff's office received a report of an alarm being triggered in the home.

By the time deputies arrived on the scene, the intruder was gone. 

A second home invasion was reported in the 700 block of Panorama Street, one street away from the first home invasion. In that incident, the homeowner reported jewelry missing from the home.

A K-9 unit from the sheriff's office attempted to track the intruder. The incidents remain under investigation.
