2 Questioned in Connection With Vehicle Break-Ins, Stolen Car

A 20-year-old Clawson resident and 20-year-old Troy resident were interviewed by Oakland County Sheriff's officials early Monday in connection with three thefts from vehicles overnight in the Rochester area and a stolen vehicle, according to department officials. 

According to Sheriff's officials, Troy Police recovered stolen property from Rochester and Rochester Hills early Monday at the scene of an accident causing property damage. 

During the investigation, Sheriff's deputies also discovered a stolen vehicle from Rochester Hills that had been abandoned in the area. Sheriff's officials interviewed the two suspects at the Troy Police Department.

At least one of the vehicle break-ins occurred in Rochester, according to Rochester Police. At about 3:10 a.m., Rochester officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Wilcox for a report of a vehicle theft in progress. A caller told a department dispatcher they had heard a car alarm go off and saw someone standing by his vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot at the residence. The caller told the dispatcher he saw the person then get into the passenger side of a red Dodge Neon, which fled the scene.

According to Rochester Police, the caller's vehicle had been broken into and the rear passenger side window was broken and property was missing.
