5 Events for Kids During Winter Break at the Rochester Hills Library

Lego workshop, video game tournament and movie day are among the attractions.

Kids, tweens and teens are invited to come to the Rochester Hills Public Library during winter break. The library is closed Dec. 23, 24, 25 and Dec. 30, 31, Jan. 1. Here's a look at some of the events planned during the other days.

Lego workshop: Students in Grades K through 5 are invited to create a Lego masterpiece at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. The Lego creations will be displayed at the library. Just bring your imagination; the library will supply the Legos and bases.

Read to Lucy: PAWS for Reading is held every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Schedule an appointment to read with the Newfoundland dog, Lucy, who loves to listen to you practice reading.

Movie break: At 2 p.m. Dec. 28 come to the library with your family and enjoy an afternoon movie. Bring a covered drink and blanket and we will provide the snack.

College Night: Too old for teen programs, but still love gaming, comics, friends and snacks? At 7 p.m. Jan. 2, grown-up teens are invited to a
College Murder Mystery Night.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament: Teens are invited to Video Game Day at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 5. Regular drop-in free play for other games will also be available
