5 Things You'll Find at This Weekend's Kris Kringle Market
The European-style holiday market in downtown Rochester will feature food, drinks, music, shopping and Santa!

An open-air Christmas market opens Friday afternoon in downtown Rochester.
The tradition known as the Kris Kringle Market is located on West Fourth Street between Main Street and Walnut Street. It's inspired by the 700-year-old tradition of outdoor, European Christmas markets.
It opens at 2 p.m. Friday through 10 p.m., then reopens Saturday from noon-10 p.m. Here's what you'll find on the street:

Kids activities
There will be a craft activity station from 2-8 p.m. Friday and noon-8 p.m. Saturday. A kid-sized gingerbread house is also a fun attraction.
Music
Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the event.

Santa
He'll be on site during the market for photo opportunities with the kids. Bring your own camera!
Food and drinks
In a warming tent you can purchase at commemorative glass mug filled with hot spiced wine provided by Fieldstone Winery or enjoy a glass of beer handcrafted by Rochester Mills Beer Co.
Shopping
Hand-made gifts, ornaments, fresh holiday greens, baked goods and specialty foods are among the offerings. Vendors include Firebrick Gallery & Pottery Studio, Nitsches Meats & Deli, the Original Strudel Factory, Pewabic Pottery, U.P. Pasties, Moon River Soap Co. and more.
