Artistic Flair Takes Center Stage at Crittenton Foundation's Gourmet Gala

Heather Tocco, owner and master cake artist at Gracie Moonpie & Company recently took center stage at the Crittenton Foundation’s Gourmet Gala on Nov. 4 with a “Jazz Age”-inspired display complete with edible art deco pieces.

The retro '20s display had crowds guessing where the edible dessert was and where the artistic display began. The surprise to guests, everything but the Swarovski Crystals on the grand centerpiece cake was edible. Even the mini-menu on each plate was made of rice paper.

"Gourmet Gala was truly a highlight for us," said Tocco. "I was able to bring my staff with me and we had such an amazing time."

Tocco continued, "We really took this display to the next level and completed it down to the smallest delicious detail."

As more than 400 guests strolled the Gourmet Gala, Gracie Moonpie & Company's team treated each one to French macarons, coconut cake with lime curd, and a cookies ‘n’ cream truffle.

The Gourmet Gala benefits the Crittenton Foundations many efforts, including Crittenton Hospital Medical Center’s new South Tower.
