Check Out Library's Expanded eBook Branch This Week

An open house Wednesday will let patrons play with the new 3M Cloud Library.

The eBook options at the Rochester Hills Public Library just grew by page after downloadable page.

The library recently unveiled a new 3M Cloud Library, which adds to its already robust eBook collection. This new eBook offering simplifies the eBook downloading process, making it easy to browse for new books; it is compatible with PCs, Macs, iPads, Nooks, Androids and 3M eReaders.

The Cloud Library features an easy-to search catalog; among the list of the most popular recent downloads are The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Bitter Brew by William Knoedelseder.

“We know more people are powering up eReading devices and signing in online to find ebooks, news, and research help, and our library is committed to supporting a vibrant culture of reading and learning,” said library director Christine Hage.

RHPL also offers eBooks through the OverDrive and Freading services.

Open house

Library patrons are invited to stop by the library from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday to learn about the service. Representatives from the 3M Cloud Library will be on site to answer questions; there will be drawings for prizes, too.

“The reaction to the 3M Cloud Library from library patrons has been positive so far,” said Adult Services Manager Rebekah Craft.

Can't make the open house? The library will also be offering an intro class on the 3M Cloud Library at 7 p.m. Monday, March 11 in the library’s Multipurpose Room. To register for this event, please call 248-650-7130 or
