This is a full-time position.  Shift selection is by union seniority.  Officers currently work 12-hour shifts.

  This position requires strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant will also possess a positive attitude, exceptional customer service skills, a style that supports teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships.  In keeping with the City's commitment to customer service, our Police Officer will be forward thinking, flexible, work closely with other City departments and anticipate problems.  Prior experience is desirable but not necessary.

Salary range: $50,858 – $81,085 (DOQ w/highly competitive benefits package, including a defined contribution pension benefit). Salary at one (1) year is set at $56,405.
