Cuthbertson, Bikson, Daldin, Ray Win Rochester Vote

Newcomer Ray to join Rochester City Council for two-year term; Bikson, Cuthertson and Daldin earn four-year terms.

Newcomer Rob Ray will join Stuart Bikson, Jeffrey Cuthbertson and Cathy Daldin on the Rochester City Council, according to unofficial election results from Oakland County.

Ray, who edged out Ann M. Peterson by 103 votes, will serve a two-year term as the fourth-highest vote-getter. Bikson, Cuthbertson and Daldin each will serve four-year terms as the top three vote-getters.

The race was close. Cuthbertson led all candidates with 961 votes for 20.95 percent of the electorate, followed closely by Bikson with 957, good for 20.86 percent of the vote. Daldin finished with 944 votes for 20.58 percent, while Ray came in fourth place with 905 votes for 19.73 percent of the electorate. 

Bikson currently serves as Rochester's mayor and Cuthbertson as mayor pro tem. The City Council will elect a mayor this month from amongst the council members for a one-year term.
