Fraud Charges Bring Rochester Hills Businessman Down

Police allege the Rochester Hills man promised to do work for clients in multiple counties, then failed to complete the work.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A Rochester Hills man has been charged with four felonies in connection with a fraud scheme. Police allege John Houston Floyd committed fraud via his business, failing to do work he promised to complete, according to an Oakland County Press report.

The case was originally presented to the Detroit Metropolitan Identity Theft/Financial Crimes Task Force where the Michigan Attorney General’s Office Criminal Division agreed to prosecute the case.
Floyd was arraigned via video from the Oakland County Jail on Oct. 3 in front of Magistrate Soma at the 52nd 3rd District Court in Rochester Hills.
