Hamlin Road To Be Rebuilt In 2018
A one-mile stretch of the road from Rochester Hills' western border to just past Adams Road will be rebuilt.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Hamlin Road will be reconstructed from the city’s western border to 500 feet past Adams Road next year. Rochester will take responsibility for the one mile stretch after the project is completed, according to a C & G Newspaper report.
“We would not have to seek permission or obtain a permit for work on Hamlin,” Rochester Hills City Council President Mark Tisdel said. “We would have direct authority to obtain driveway permits and work within the right of way. And in the pursuit of grants, we would not have to partner with another agency and potentially have to compete with any other agency interests. So it does permit some very real benefits.”
“By a unanimous vote Sept. 15, the Rochester Hills City Council approved a preliminary $287,000 contract for engineering services with Hubbell, Roth and Clark Inc., of Bloomfield Hills.”
