Maggie Moo's Gone, Soft-Serve Yogurt Coming Soon to Village
Here's what's happening at the outdoor shopping and dining center.
Maggie Moo's, the ice cream shop known for its bright blue Cotton Candy ice cream, among other frozen concoctions, closed its doors Dec. 31 in Rochester Hills.Â
While the Village of Rochester Hills searches for another tenant to fill its spot, there is more news of the frozen treat variety to report.
Yummie Yogurt, a soft-serve yogurt shop, will open in the outdoor shopping plaza in May.Â

"Soft-serve yogurt shops are the trend right now," said Shelleen McHale, marketing director of the Village.Â
It will open next to Starbucks, across from the gazebo where Santa recently visited.

Yummie Yogurt is a family-owned shop based in Farmington Hills. A Plymouth location is also planned this year. It features an ever-changing menu of flavors and self-serve toppings.Â
It will be the third soft-serve yogurt shop to open in the Rochester area in the past year. Sweet Island Yogurt is located in downtown Rochester; Bloomberry Yogurt is located at the corner of Tienken and Rochester roads in the Papa Joe's plaza.Â
