Man Shoots Wife, Goes To Police Station, Turns Himself In

Police are still investigating the case.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – After fatally shooting his wife in their home late Monday morning, a man went to a nearby police substation and confessed his crime to an Oakland County Sheriff's deputy, police said. Meanwhile, according to reports, deputies had been called to the couple's home in the 34400 block of Emmons Avenue in Rochester Hills by the woman's brother-in-law, who told police he found her body on a bloody couch.

The brother-in-law said the couple was going through a bad divorce.

The 41-year-old female victim, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police took her husband, a 39-year-old, into custody. After being interviewed by detectives, the man was taken to the Oakland County Jail, where he is being held pending further investigation.
