Married Detroit Police Officers Face Threats At Rochester Hills Home

The couple have endured a litany of intimidation attempts.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Married Detroit Police Department officers Terri Graves, a corporal, and her husband, John Kennedy, a sergeant, fight crime every single day. However, they didn't expect to have to fight it at their own Rochester Hills home.

The couple's SUV was recently vandalized in their own driveway, according to WXYZ. Two windows were shot out with a BB gun. And this isn't the first time the couple has been targeted at home. Earlier this year, a "price reduced" sign was placed in their yard yet their house was not on the market. The couple are the only black family in the neighborhood and feel the threats are racially motivated.

The couple don't believe the threats are from neighbors and they are resolute that they are not backing down. Graves told WXYZ, "We are not going anywhere. We will be here. We have a right to live here like everyone else." Kennedy added "We put our lives on the line for people every day so they cannot intimidate me."
