The metro Detroit weather forecast looks wet. When will the sun come out?

METRO DETROIT, MI — The old saying that April showers brings May flowers is going right out the window with the coming metropolitan Detroit forecast. April ended with a rainy weekend and, unfortunately, May is going to start off wet, too. According to the National Weather Service, rain continues Monday and will continue off and on until Wednesday.
Temperatures will stay below normal for most of the week. After a high of 69 degrees on Monday, Tuesday through Thursday will see highs between 53 - 58. Here’s a closer look at the forecast from Monday through Thursday:
Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 14 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Monday Night: Showers likely after 8pm. Cloudy, with a low around 45. Southwest wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Scattered showers. Cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a southwest wind 16 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. West wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 58. Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.

Thursday: A chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. Thursday Night: A chance of showers before 8pm, then a chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.
