Onyx Infinity Synchro Skating Teams Expand To Include Fraser FSC
Partnership Links Six Local Rinks Across Three Counties
Onyx Infinity Synchronized Skating is proud to announce the participation of the Fraser Figure Skating Club in a multi-club partnership designed to offer competitive synchronized teams of all levels to skaters across metro Detroit. Formed in 2019, Onyx Infinity Synchronized Skating is now a partnership which includes figure skaters from six rinks across metro Detroit: St. Clair Shores FSC, Mt. Clemens FSC, ONYX Suburban Skating Academy in Rochester and Macomb and Lakeland Skating Club in Waterford. Fraser FSC, located at Fraser Hockeyland, will become the sixth rink to join the Onyx Infinity teams.
Onyx Infinity continues to be led by Directors Helene Wolf and Deanna Willmarth and staffed by the current synchronized skating coaches, including Heather Blasko, Sara Jack-Grzymkowski, Tracey Daniels, Amanda Murley, Karen Felice and Kelsey Roggenbuch.
“Fraser has a long tradition of excellence in synchronized skating,” said Director Helene Wolf of Rochester, Mich. “from the original Fraserettes to the more recent Fraser Eclipse teams. We’re excited to welcome the skaters and parents into our growing program. By combining our efforts and collaborating to build teams, we can all be more competitive in this sport.”

The annual Mid-America Synchronized Skating Competition, which has been held at Fraser Hockeyland since the early 1980s, will continue under the leadership of Onyx Infinity Synchronized Skating and the participation of the five member skating clubs. The competition is scheduled for January 7-8, 2022.
"Fraser Figure Skating Club is glad to be part of the Onyx Infinity family and we look forward to the bright future ahead!" said Jenette Maitz, director of Fraser FSC. "We are happy to have synchronized skating back in the Fraser Hockeyland facility.”

Synchronized skating clinics, which are open to all skaters, are being held now through April 25th at four participating rinks. Team placements and auditions will be held the first week of May.
