Police Find Pot Inside Suspicious Vehicle Parked in Rochester Hills Park

A teen-ager was cited for possession of marijuana.

A vehicle that smelled like marijuana parked in a Rochester Hills park prompted police to investigate on Saturday night.

The incident happened at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Borden Park. The park was closed; Oakland County Sheriff's deputies found two vehicles parked there and "a strong odor of marijuana was coming from one of the vehicles," according to a sheriff's office report.

A K-9 search of the vehicle revealed marijuana, and a 17-year-old Shelby Township resident was cited and released for possession of the substance, according to the report.
