Ram's Horn Offers Free Thanksgiving Dinner to Those in Need
Those in need can receive a free meal from 4-9 p.m. on Nov. 25.

For families in need this Thanksgiving, the Ram's Horn in Rochester Hills is answering the call again this year by providing a free meal from 4-9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.
Open to anyone in need—the restaurant uses the honor system—guests will be treated to a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner, complete with fixings, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie, at the Rochester Hills location at Hamlin and Rochester roads.Â
This is the fourth year the location has offered a free meal for those in need.
"It's just our way to give back," owner John Smith said. "We feel honored and blessed that in this economy we're able to do this for the community."
Smith said he expects his staff to prepare between 400-700 meals. He said the restaurant handed out 400 meals at last year's event.Â
The restaurant's charitable efforts will continue on Dec. 7 with the kickoff of its 17th annual Toys for Tots toy drive with the Breakfast Club Rods and Customs classic car group that meets regularly at the Rochester Hills restaurant.
The restaurant will have boxes set up for toy donations. Collections will continue up through two days before Christmas.
Smith credits the company's Christian values for its charitable efforts.
"We don't shy away on the Merry Christmas," he said. "We're not ashamed to be Christians."
