Rochester Community Schools' Closing Info, Weather Forecast
Find out how much snow metropolitan Detroit is expecting and where to get school closing information.

ROCHESTER, MI — Depending on where you live in metropolitan Detroit, three inches or more of snow could be heading your way, according to the National Weather Service. What will that mean for school on Tuesday?
While we don’t have that answer at the moment, there is a way to find out if the Rochester Community School District will be open tomorrow, or any day this winter. The district provides information to Fox 2 News, Local 4, Channel 7, WWJ-TV, CW50, WWJ-950 News Radio, and WJR 760 AM.
The district also communicates information via the School Messenger email and automated phone call system as well as its social media accounts: Facebook and Twitter. Information is also posted on The Rochester Community School District’s website.

As for the weather, here’s a look at the rest of Monday and Tuesday:
Monday Afternoon: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 31. South southeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Monday night: Snow, mainly before 4 a.m. Low around 21. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 11 to 16 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

Tuesday: A chance of snow or flurries before 7am, then a chance of flurries after 7am. Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 18 by 5pm. Blustery, with a northwest wind 21 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Tuesday Night: A chance of flurries. Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. Wind chill values as low as -1. Blustery, with a northwest wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
