Rochester Hills Fire Was Set Intentionally, Sheriff Says
Officials said the fire had been intentionally set by someone who had broken into the home.
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A residential fire reported Monday evening in Rochester Hills was set intentionally, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office reported.
Deputies said they were called to the 1400 block of School Road shortly after 6 p.m. Monday to assist the Rochester Hill Fire Department with a residential structure fire.
When deputies arrived to the scene, they said the fire department extinguished the fire and requested assistance from the county's fire investigations unit for a cause and origin investigation.

That investigation revealed that the fire had been intentionally set by someone who had broken into the home, officials said.
No suspect information was available.
