Rochester Hills Marks 9/11 With Remembrance Ceremony

Nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 as a result of terrorist attacks.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Though 16 years separates America from one of the worst days in its history, time stood still in many metropolitan Detroit communities on Monday to honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. The city of Rochester Hills was one and marked the occasion with a Remembrance Ceremony.

Dozens attended the event, which was held adjacent to the fire station. Prayers were said and several dignitaries spoke on a warm summer day, not unlike the one that changed America forever, as President Donald Trump said at a Washington D.C. ceremony.
