Rochester Man Reports $3,000 Stolen Via Fraudulent Checks

Rochester Police were dispatched Monday to the 900 block of Ironwood for a report of check fraud, according to the department.

A 72-year-old man at the residence told police someone he knows had taken his checkbook and had written several checks in excess of $3,000, the department indicated.

The incident remains under investigation and a suspect has been identified, police said.
