Rochester School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

ROCHESTER-ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — The first day of school in Rochester is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Rochester School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/4: Students' First Day/ Half Day (K-5)
• 9/28: Half Day

October

• 10/10: Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades 6-8)
• 10/11: Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades 9-12)
• 10/17: Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades 9-12)
• 10/18: Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades 6-8)

November

• 11/5 - 11/6: No School (Professional Development Day)
• 11/13: Parent Teacher Conference (Grades K-5)
• 11/15: Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades K-5)
• 11/19: Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades K-5)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/23 - 1/24: Half Day (Grades 6-12 and Post High)
• 1/25: Half Day (All Grades)

February
