Rochester Weekly Crime Report

A rash of car windows were shot with a BB or pellet gun.

ROCHESTER, MI — Stay up to date with the latest crime activity in Rochester. Check out the Rochester Police Department Weekly Crime Report below.

Nov. 13: A Rochester officer was dispatched to the area of Second and Letica at 2:00 p.m. to the report of a man sleeping in his car. The officers made contact with the man and found that the vehicle was running and the man was asleep with an obvious open alcohol container next to him. The man was awoken and identified as a 55-year-old Rochester Hills resident. The man was arrested and taken back to the Rochester Police Department where he was booked and released to a sober relative with a misdemeanor citation. A court date is pending.

Nov. 15: Rochester officers were dispatched to the area of Albertson and N. Pine. 7 victims reported damage to their vehicles that occurred overnight between Nov. 14 - Nov. 15. A closer inspection by the officers revealed that the damage was most likely caused by a BB or pellet gun that shattered the windows. The crimes appear random, none of the victims have had any recent problems or arguments with anyone. Video evidence is currently being analyzed to develop potential suspects. The cases are under investigation.

Nov. 15: The Rochester Police Department Detective Bureau is asking for the public's help in identifying a larceny from automobile suspect that has been active in the area of Wyngate, Cloverdale and Chase in the city of Rochester. A potential suspect has been captured on video. The video has been posted to the Rochester Police Department’s Facebook page. If anyone knows the identity of the person in the video, they are encouraged to contact the Rochester Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 248-651-9621.
