ROCHESTER, MI — Check out the Rochester Weekly Crime Report, courtesy of the Rochester Police:

Feb. 6: A Rochester resident came to the Rochester Police Department to file an identity theft report. The complainant stated an unknown person filed for unemployment using his identity. The incident is under investigation.

Feb. 6: An Essexville resident came to the Rochester Police Department to file a larceny report. The complainant stated she was at a business in the 200 block of Main and her purse was stolen. The incident is under investigation.

Feb. 5: At approximately 2:00 a.m., a Rochester police officer was on patrol in the area of Main and Third when he observed a vehicle speeding on Main. The Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver a 47 year old Rochester Hills resident. While speaking to the driver the Officer could smell the odor of alcohol. Field Sobriety tests were contacted and the driver failed the majority of the tests. The driver submitted to a PBT and blew a .11% BAC. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and transported to the Rochester Police Department for further testing. At the police department the driver refused the breath test and a blood search warrant was completed and executed. The driver was held until he was sober and released. Operating While Intoxicated charges are pending the BAC blood analysis.
